Introduction
Service configurations represent the individual and unique objects that can be serviced. These objects can be individual products or combinations of products that can be serviced. Service configurations can even include related parts on multiple levels within the configuration. This makes it possible to identify a simple piece of equipment to a complex group of machines with multiple serviceable parts within these machines.
Service configurations can be used to specify service contracts which can be used for identification purposes for planning and realizing of service activities. If only one equipment is linked to the service configuration, the configuration code will be the same as the serial number of the related item. It can also be a separate service number. Items that are attached to the service configurations can have an optional serial number. It is possible to add, remove, or replace items in a service configuration. This page allows you to create and maintain service configurations.
