Maintaining Master Resource Schedules (MRS)

Introduction
You can manage and generate the working schedules of employees in the organization. This function provides information on the Master Resource Schedule (MRS) records for the selected resource. You can also add, delete, and copy MRS records of the resource. Before you can generate the MRS, you must first define the work schedule for each employee in the organization. Fields
Resource
Type or select the active resource to generate the MRS for the selected resource.
Year
Select the fiscal year for which you want to generate the MRS hours. The following box is displayed when you right-click on the respective date box(es):
Cut
Click this to cut the selected MRS record(s). A selected MRS record can only be cut after it is pasted in another date box.
Copy
Click this
to copy the selected MRS record(s).
Paste
Click this to paste the copied MRS record(s) to the selected date box(es).
Delete
Click this
to delete the selected MRS record(s).
To view details of the MRS hours, double-click on the respective date box. From the displayed screen, you can modify the start and end time, click Save to save the details, and/or Close to close the screen.
Resource
This displays the ID and name of the resource of which the MRS has been generated for.
Date
This displays the date of the MRS. It is based on the date of the date box which you double-click.
Start time
This column displays the start work time of the day. In the example above, the first row under the Start time column displays the start work time for the first half of the day and the second row displays the start work time for the second half of the day, after a break.
End time
This column displays the end work time of the day. In the example above, the first row under the End time column displays the end work time for the first half of the day and the second row displays the end work time for the second half of the day.
Add
Click this to add a new row for the additional MRS hours.
Delete
Click this to delete the selected row.
Note: You can edit a particular schedule by double-clicking at the entry, and then typing the new schedule.
Buttons
Refresh
Click this to update the displayed results. You will see the results that match the newly defined criteria.
Export
Click this
to export and convert the generated MRS records to Microsoft Excel based on the defined criteria.
Generate
Click this to generate the selected MRS record(s). For more information, see
Generating Master Resource Schedule (MRS).
Copy
Click this to duplicate the MRS records of the selected date(s) from another resource. For more information, see
Copying Master Resource Schedule (MRS).
Delete
Click this to delete the selected MRS record(s). After you click
Delete, you will see a message to confirm the action. Click
Yes to delete the selected MRS record(s) or
No to not delete.
Note: You cannot delete the schedules which are linked to an absence request.
Close
Click this to exit.
