This document provides you the steps to creating and maintaining budget entries, as well as viewing, editing, deleting, printing and allocating the budget entries.
The information in this document is applicable to product update 407. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
Select the method by which you want to group the budget in the overview. You can group by GL account, Debtor, Creditor, Item, Project, Asset, Cost centre, Cost unit, Warehouse, Period, or None.
Type or select the project or a range of projects to view the budget entries for the project(s). Select the All check box if you want to view the budget entries for all projects.
Note: This field depends on the Group by selection you have made. For example, if you select Debtor under Group by, the field will be displayed as Debtor. However, if you select None under Group by, the field will be displayed as GL account.
Type or select the date range for which you want to view the budget entries. Select the All check box if you want to view the budget entries for all dates.
Select this check box to view the revenue budgets.
Select this check box to view the cost budgets.
Type or select the budget scenario to view the entries for the selected budget scenario. This is a mandatory field.
Select this check box to view budget entries for the children projects.
Note: This check box will be enabled only if you select Project at Group by, and the projects related to the selected budget scenario contain budget entries for the children projects.
Click this to hide the advanced search criteria.
Click this to refresh a search or to view the updated records of the budget entries that have been modified.
Click this to allocate the budget entry lines to projects.
Note: This button is enabled only for budget entries that are related to projects.
Click this to view the budget entry per line in the budget scenario.
Click this to return to the previous screen.
Note: This button is enabled only after you have clicked Zoom.
Click this to go to the Financial entries screen. Here, you can define the budget scenario report that you want to print, the layout, the option to view the actual and/or budgeted amounts, and the sorting option for the budget scenario reports. After defining the settings, click Start to generate the print preview of the budget overview. In the preview, click Print to print the budget overview.
Click this to delete a budget entry line.
Click this to open a selected budget entry line to view or edit the records of the budget entry.
Click this to create a budget entry.
Click this to exit.
