Introduction
On this page, you can create kanban orders to allow for efficiency in registering costs and output from production that is not planned, and in making adjustments on reported costs.
Roles and rights
To access this page, the Shop floor control role is required. In addition to that, a few requirements need to be met. For more information, see the Roles and rights section in Logging in to Shop Floor Control via Exact Synergy Enterprise.

The information in this document is based on product update 252.
How do I create a kanban order?
- Select the SFC Interface check box.
- At Operation, select an operation.
- Click Login. Once you have logged in, the production orders with the steps that will be executed on the selected operation will be displayed.
- Click Kanban. The Kanban order page will be displayed.
- At the Item code field, define the item code by clicking
. The Make items browser will be displayed. To filter the list of make items, define the fields in the filter criteria and click Search. Select the required make item. - At the Warehouse field, select a warehouse option from the drop-down list.
- At the Quantity field, type the quantity to be issued.
- Click Create.
Keep in mind:
- The Create button will be disabled if any of the fields are blank, or if a negative amount or letter is defined at the Quantity field.
- Once a kanban order is created, the entry is listed in the Operation overview page after the page is refreshed.
Buttons
Cancel
Click this to cancel the kanban order creation and to return to the previous page.
Create
Click this to create the kanban order as defined.
Fields
Item code
Click 
to select the item that you want to manufacture. This is mandatory. The Make items browser will be displayed for you to select the required make item.
Note:
- Make items that do not have a valid Bill of Materials (BOM) defined, are inactive, discontinued, or blocked will not be listed for selection.
- Make items from warehouses to which a user does not have rights will also be displayed. Selecting these items will result in an error whereby the kanban order will not be created.
- If an invalid item is defined, a warning message will be displayed.
Warehouse
Select the relevant warehouse from the drop-down list. The drop-down list will display all the warehouses that are linked to the selected item at the Item code field. This is mandatory.
Quantity
Type the quantity to be issued. This is mandatory.
