Product Updates 418 and 417: HSBC bank and ISO 20022 SCT file supported for United States
The HSBC bank is now available as one of the bank options that can be selected when creating cash instruments for the United States. In addition, the ISO 20022 standard is also supported for the SCT file format for HSBC and other banks.
Note that the cash instruments using the HSBC bank will not require the validation for the bank account number format and can be created without the IBAN information.
Creating cash instruments using HSBC
When creating the cash instruments using the HSBC bank, the fields under the SEPA credit transfer section of the cash instrument maintenance screen will have the following the default settings:
- SEPA credit transfer: This check box will be automatically selected and disabled.
- Batch booking: This check box will be enabled and can be selected.
- Transaction grouping: By default, the option Mixed will be selected at this field and the field will be disabled.
- SCT Export File Format: The options PAIN 001.001.03 and Custom are available for selection at this field. By default, the option PAIN 001.001.03 will be selected at this field.
- SCT Filename: If the option PAIN 001.001.03 has been selected at the SCT Export File Format field, the value USSCT.xsl will be displayed at this field. If Custom has been selected, the field will be cleared and enabled for editing.
- SCT: Currency: By default, the option All will be selected at this field and the field will be disabled.
- Clearance identification: By default, the field is blank and can be defined when All is selected at the SCT: Currency field.
Creating cash instruments using other banks
When creating the cash instruments using other banks, the SEPA credit transfer check box will be enabled for editing and cleared by default. When the check box is selected, the fields under the SEPA credit transfer section of the cash instrument maintenance screen will have the same default settings as when creating the cash instruments using the HSBC bank. Please note that only the SEPA credit transfer format is supported for other banks. Hence, if the check box is not selected, it will not be possible to generate the bank files for the related cash instrument.
Generation of SHA1 and SHA256
As the IBAN information is not required for the cash instruments using the HSBC bank, your own bank account number will be used for the generation of SHA1 and SHA256.
