Introduction
The exchange rates for foreign currencies created are
displayed in this screen. The exchange rates may be displayed based on dates or
currency. You can also create and maintain exchange rates in this screen. Maintaining
exchange rates is important if you have trading partners that use different
currencies. When you modify your exchange rates, the new rates will only affect
new entries. For existing entries, the old exchange rates remain applicable.
What version are you using?
The information in this document is applicable to product
update 407 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features
explained here will not be applicable.
How do I create and maintain an exchange rate?
- In the main screen, click Maintain. The Exchange rates screen will be displayed.
- Select the relevant date and enter the new exchange rate of the currency.
- Click Save.
- Click Close and then click Refresh in the main screen to view the updated records.
Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon are
mandatory.
Fields
Report
Select either Date or Currency
to search for the required exchange rates.
Date
Select this if you want to view the exchange rate records by date. All active currencies will be displayed
based on the current exchange. Type or click 
to select
other dates to view the exchange rates for the selected date.
Currency
Select this if you want to view the exchange rate records based on currency. Type or click 
to select a currency. All exchange rates for this currency for all dates will be displayed.
Columns
Currency
This column displays the code of
the currency.
Description
This column displays the
description of the currency.
Date
This column displays the date of
the exchange rate.
Rate
This column displays the rate of
the currency.
Buttons
Refresh
Click this to view your
modified exchange rates or update your search results after you have
selected a different currency.
Maintain
Click this to modify or add exchange rate records.
Close
Click this to exit.
