Exact PSA is specifically suited for organizations that do project-based work with strict requirements on flexible project management, correct hour or expense realizations, invoicing, and reporting. These organizations normally perform management consulting, IT consulting, or engineering consulting.

Exact PSA currently offers two license roles, which are YA1403 — Project manager and YA1401 — Hour entry. Each role serves as a marker, so that certain Exact PSA-related function rights can only be assigned to the user that holds a corresponding role:

The following section explains the function rights available for Exact PSA:
Users with this function right are able to view the planning of consultants, and plan hours and expenses for consultants.
The planning of hours and expenses depends on the level of the role assigned. For example, a project manager who is assigned the Hour planning role on the Division level can only plan hours and expenses for projects in his division.

Users with this function right are able to view, approve, and reject hours and expenses of consultants that have been realized or submitted.

Users with this function right are able to customize the layout of the project card on a personal level in read-only mode.
Users with this function right are able to submit hours and expenses for other consultants. The submission of hours and expenses depends on the level of the role assigned. For example, a project manager who is assigned the user-defined role (with this function right linked) on the Cost center level can only submit hours and expenses for consultants in his cost center.
