At this page, you can view the list of competences of a competency group.
You can define up to four levels of competences in a competency group. A competence at level 1 groups competences at level 2, a competence at level 2 groups competences at level 3, and a competence at level 3 groups competences at level 4. See the following screen for an example of the concept of competence levels.
Go to HRM/Setup/Competency management/Competence groups, click to expand the list, and then click the description of the competence.
For more details on what you can do with function rights or levels, go to System/Setup/Security/Function rights, select the required module, and then click on the relevant ID. To find out the functions you can perform with a particular role, go to System/Setup/Security/Roles, type in the description, click Refresh, and then click the required link under the Role column.
Click this to modify the competence. For more information, see Creating and Modifying Competences Linked to Competency Groups.

This displays the unique competence code.
This displays the competency group which the competence belongs to. Click the description of the competency group to view its details.
This displays the level of competence.
This displays the parent competence of this competence. The parent competence is always a level higher than this competence.
Note: This is only available if you are viewing a competence that is in level 2, 3, or 4.
This displays the description of the competence.
This displays the field type linked to the competence.
This displays the weight factor of the competence.
This displays the competence linked to this competence. You can only select the competence that is on the same level with this competence and with the same field type. By linking a competence, the value or rating for this newly-created competence will automatically follow the value or rating of the linked competence. However, the value or rating can always be changed manually.
This displays the document attached to this competence.

This section displays the child competences that are linked to the competence you are viewing. The Code column displays all the competence codes which are linked to this competence. Click the hyperlinks under this column to view and maintain the linked child competences. The Description column displays the descriptions of the child competences, while the Field type and Weight columns display the field type and weight of the child competences. You can rearrange the order of the child competences by dragging Move to move a competence up or down the list. Alternatively, you can click Up to move a competence up or Down to move a competence down the list. Mouse over to view additional notes about the competence.
Click this to add existing competences to the competency group and link to this competence.
Click this to create a competence which will be linked to the competency group and this competence. For more information, see Creating and Modifying Competences Linked to Competency Groups.
Note: You cannot add or create child competences for a competence that is at level 4. This is because a level 4 competence cannot become a parent competence to another competence. Thus, this section is only available for competences that are in level 1, 2, or 3. For more information on the level of competences, see Viewing Competency Groups Listing.
