How to determine the Pick-IT ASP IIS folder

When installing Pick-IT ASP for the first time, Microsoft IIS has to be set up to host Pick-IT ASP. This can be any folder, this does not have be within the Exact folder structure.

When updating to a higher version of Pick-IT ASP (see document Updating Pick-IT ASP : Plan of Approach)  you may not be sure where Pick-IT ASP is started from. To determine the folder where Pick-IT ASP is started from:

IIS 6 (XP)
Go to Start/Settings/Control panel/Administrative tools/Internet Information Services
Expand: PC/server name > Web sites > Default web site
Right-click on the virtual folder name where Pick-IT ASP is started from (for example "pickit"), Properties
The "local path" shows where the Pick-IT files are located.




IIS 7 (Vista, Windows2008)
Go to Start/Settings/Control panel/Administrative tools/Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
Expand: PC/server name > Sites > Default web site
Right-click on the virtual folder name where Pick-IT ASP is started from (for example "pickit")
Click "Advanced settings" option in the far right panel
The "Physical path" shows where the Pick-IT files are located.
