Maintaining layouts: Inserting frames

Introduction
When you are maintaining an existing layout or creating one,
you can insert frames into the layout. A Layout screen will be displayed
when you click at
any of the fields in this screen.
What version are you using?
The information in this document is applicable to product
update 407. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained
here will not be applicable.
How do I insert a frame?
- In the Documents settings screen, click
at
any of the fields to display the Layout screen.
- A list of layout names and descriptions
will be displayed. For some of the layouts, a column named Covering
letter will also be displayed.
- Select an existing layout and
click Edit to open and edit the existing layout.
- Right-click anywhere on the
layout, point to Insert and click Frame.
- Alternatively, click Edit
on the menu bar at the top of the screen and point to Insert, and then
click Frame.
- In the Frame screen,
select the block where you want to insert the frame.
- Define other relevant fields
accordingly.
- Click OK.
Fields
Block
Select the block where you want to insert the frame. For
more information on blocks, see Maintaining
layouts: Explanation on blocks.
Line height (mm)
Type the line height of the frame in millimeters (mm).
Line width (mm)
Type the line width of the frame in millimeters (mm).
Rounding (mm)
Type the frame rounding in millimeters (mm) so that the
angles of the frame will be rounded.
Buttons
Frame color
Click this to select a color for the frame.
Background color
Click this to select a color for the background.
OK
Click this to insert the frame in the layout.
Cancel
Click this to cancel the settings for the frame and exit.
