Creating sources
Menu path
To create a source, select the Marketing tab from one of the
existing debtor or creditor accounts.
Introduction
Sources
are used to determine the communication method between your company and its
creditors and debtors. You can only
create sources for creditors and debtors. To create a source, select the
Marketing tab from one of the
existing debtor or creditor accounts.
In this document, the creditor account at Finance ➔ Accounts payable ➔ Maintain is used.
Fields
The Sources
screen is displayed when you select Source.
Search
Click this to search for entries based on the defined
criteria.
Clear
Click this to clear
the defined criteria.
Rows
Type the number of rows to be displayed for each page. If you have
set the default number of rows to 10, then 10 rows will be displayed. Therefore,
if you have more than 10 rows listed, you will see the
Previous
and
Next buttons.
Previous
Click this to return to the previous list of entries.
Next
Click this to go to the next list of entries.
Code
Type a code to display the
specific source.
Description
Type the
description to display the specific source.
Buttons
Select
Click this
to select a source and return to the
Marketing tab.
Note: This button is enabled after you have
selected a source.
Open
Click this
to view
the selected source.
Note: This button is enabled after you have selected a
source.
New
Click this
to create a source. The
Sources - Exact screen will be displayed. Define the fields and click
Save to save the source,
New to create another source, or
Close to exit.
Close
Click this to
exit.
