Payments in transit refer to all payments you have ordered the bank to carry out but for which you have yet to receive a confirmation in the form of a bank statement. This overview is useful because it shows you the incoming and outgoing cash flow at a glance. As soon as you receive the statement from the bank, the payment in transit line is no longer seen in the overview.
You can filter the payments in transit that you want to display. To search for the payments in transit, you can define one or more of the following criteria and click Refresh. The payments in transit that match the search criteria you have entered are then displayed.
Select the required method to group the payments in transit. You can choose to group by Accounts, Cash instruments, Payment reference, Payment date, Run number or Details. By default, Accounts is selected.
Type an account name or part of it to search for the payment in transit that matches the name.
Click this (after typing an account name at Name) to search for the payment in transit that matches the name.
Note: Name and Search are only available if Accounts is selected at Group by.
This displays the date the selected transaction was entered.
This displays the date the selected transaction was authorized.
This displays the date the selected transaction was processed.
Note: The three boxes display the status of the selected payments. All boxes will only be displayed if Details is selected at Group by. On the right, the Total amount is displayed.
Click this to display the search results according to the defined criteria.
Click this to display the summary report of payments in transit per bank account.
Click this to export the data in the search results to Microsoft Excel. You can also edit or print the data in Microsoft Excel.
Click this to add a new note or to view existing notes for the selected account. Type a note, click Timestamp (optional), Save and then Close to exit.
Click this to display further details of the payment transaction. Depending on the status of the selected payment in transit, you can edit some of the information displayed. Click this to display the debtor/creditor card of the selected account. For more information, see Viewing debtor cards or Viewing creditor cards.
Click this to display the complete transaction of the selected line based on the internal reference.
Click this to display the complete transaction of the selected line based on the customer reference.
Click this to reverse the authorized and processed steps of the selected payment in transit. It will be removed from this overview and can then be authorized and processed again. For more information, see Authorizing payments and processing payments.
Click this to exit.
