Introduction

This page allows you to copy existing items. The division information of the existing item will also be copied to the new item.

Roles & rights

To copy items, function right 34 – Maintain World Items, except to change the division or function right 347 – Maintain Country items is required. Users with the Item management role have this function right.

How do I copy items?

1. On the Search: Items page, define the search criteria.
2. Click Show.
3. Select the item that you want to copy under the Code column.
4. Click Edit.
5. Click Actions.
6. Click Copy item: Item.
7. Define the fields in the Item section.
8. Select a division(s) in the Divisions section.
9. Click Copy.

Keep in mind: This function is available only if you have selected the Items check box at System à Setup à Central Master Data Management à Settings.
