Product Updates 421, 420, and 419: Support for electronic file submission of withholding tax returns for PND3 and PND53 (Thai legislation)

You can now opt to upload a text file consisting of withholding tax return transactions directly to the tax portal.

When generating the reports via Finance ➔ VAT / Statistics ➔ Withholding tax ➔ Reports, you can upload the relevant text file under the Type section at the Export directory field.

The file names for the text files will be generated using a specific format. The file name consists of: 

• the 13-digit tax identification number from Company data settings, (for example, '3794023444333'),
• headquarters or branch number from Company data settings, (for example, 'สำนักงานใหญ่'),
• withholding tax type ('P3' for the PND3 type, or 'P5' for the PND53 type),
• tax year (for example, '2020'),
• tax month (for example, '05' for May),
• normal submission indicator (represented by the value '00'). 

Refer to the following examples:

File name for PND3

If the text file is for a period or range (for example, from 01-05-2020 to 31-05-2020), the file name will be generated as follows:

• 3794023444333สำนักงานใหญ่P320200500.txt

If the text file is for all data range, the file name will be generated as follows:  

• 3794023444333สำนักงานใหญ่P300.txt 

File name for PND3A

If the text file is for a period or range (for example, from 01-05-2020 to 31-05-2020), the file name will be generated as follows:

• 3794023444333สำนักงานใหญ่P320200501.txt 

If the text file is for all data range, the file name will be generated as follows:

• 3794023444333สำนักงานใหญ่P301.txt 

File name for PND3B

If the text file is for a period or range (for example, from 01-05-2020 to 31-05-2020), the file name will be generated as follows:

• 3794023444333สำนักงานใหญ่P320200502.txt 

If the text file is for all data range, the file name will be generated as follows:
