Product Updates 421, 420, 419, and 418: Updated QR-bill (Swiss legislation)

Up till now, Exact Software has been following Swiss Payment Standards version 1.0 (as recorded before). In line with updated requirements, Exact Globe Next (EGN) now supports Swiss Payment Standards 2019 that introduces QR-bill version 2.1. An example of the updated QR-bill is as follows:

The following are the changes seen in version 2.1 (compared to version 1.0):

• A new receipt section has been added on the left of the QR-bill.
• Various changes in formatting and sizing.
• A new Further information section has been added at the bottom of the QR-bill.
• Introduction of institution identification (IID) that allows for the use of QR-IID. When an IBAN and, by extension, a QR-IBAN corresponds to QR-IID numbers, the structure of the QR reference will follow a structured reference. The following is an example of the Settings tab of a Cash instrument:

The QR-IID is obtained from the QR-IBAN code in positions 5-10. In this example, the QR-IID is 31999. QR-IID is typically between 30000-31999.

To continue to generate the QR reference based on the QR-IBAN, a BESR-ID will be provided by the bank. This value needs to be entered into the Identification 2 field.
