The maintenance page of the module documents [Documents, Maintenance] gives access to all functionalities to setup a document administration and/or websites.
Each user can specify for themselves how document lists are displayed and how documents are edited.

Document layouts can be defined in this functionality. Document layouts influence the way a document is displayed in view mode.
In this menu path mail merge layouts can be made. The created layouts can be used on several places in Exact Synergy, like HRM, CRM and Workflow.
A document type is a predefined set of settings for a document. For the integration of Exact -Synergy and Exact Globe there will be some document types be installed by default, concerning logistic documents.

Documents can be structured in hierarchical structure made with categories. This menu option opens the maintenance screen for setting up this structure.
Documents are placed in a subcategory, which belongs to a category, which belongs to a main category. The move functionality makes it possible to move documents from one category to another category.
The count functionality shows the quantity of documents inside an Exact Synergy environment, divided per main category, category, subcategory and security level.
