WMS Lite process - Inventory
WMS Lite supports several processes. One of these processes is counting or stock inventory. In this document this process is explained.
Before you can get started with the inventory process of WMS Lite, it is important that your company is properly equipped for the inventory process within WMS Lite. On the start page WMS Lite you'll find an overview of the various settings which are important for working with WMS Lite.
The process for the inventory counts of your shelf stock consists of the following steps:
-
Create stock inventory
In the control centre non guided counts you have to create a new stock inventory via the button 'New'. When creating a new stock inventory you can assign a reference, general ledger account, project and reference date, and you can selectively create a count on location, item group and item code ranges.
-
Register count
In the warehouse the employee uses the hand terminal to register the count. This is a non-guided process, you do not have a stock check list on the scanner itself. The employee just goes to a location/item that has to be counted.
-
Read from scanner
When the counts are registered on the hand terminal, the registered information can be read back via the button 'Read from scanner' in the control centre non guided counts.
-
Compare
Via the control centre non guided counts you have to use the button 'Compare' to compare the counted stock with stock which is present in Exact Globe Next and determine the differences which have to be processed.
-
Process
The difference can be processes via the button 'Process' in the control centre non guided counts.
During reading from scanner, comparing and processing a (bar code) label can be generated automatically.
