Introduction
This document provides you the overview of the absence
entitlements. In this screen, you can modify, copy, and delete absence
entitlements, as well as maintain the properties of absence types.
What version are you using?
The information in this document is applicable to product
update 407 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features
explained here will not be applicable.
How do I modify the properties of absence types?
- In the overview of absence entitlements screen, select the relevant absence type.
- Click Maintain.
- In the Absence types screen, make the necessary changes.
- Click Save, and then click Close. For more information, see Creating
and maintaining absence types.
How do I copy the details of an existing absence type to a new absence type?
- In the overview of absence entitlements screen, select the relevant absence type.
- Click Copy.
- In the Copy: Absence entitlements screen at New: Absence types,
select the new absence type.
- At Entitlement, select the relevant option(s).
- A confirmation message will be displayed, click Yes to proceed or click No
to cancel.
- Click OK.
How do I delete absence types?
- In the overview of absence entitlements screen, select the relevant absence type.
- Click Delete.
- A confirmation message will be displayed, click Yes to proceed or click No
to cancel.
How do I adjust the hours for absence entitlements?
- In the overview of absence entitlements screen, select the relevant absence type.
- Click Open.
- In the Corporate tab, define the new hours at Hours.
- Click Save, and then click Close.
How do I apply an expiry date for absence entitlements?
- In the overview of absence entitlements screen, select the relevant absence type.
- Click Open.
- In the Corporate tab, select the check box at Apply expiry date.
Additional sections will be displayed.
- Define the relevant fields under the sections.
- Click Save, and then click Close.
How do I assign absence entitlements to employees?
- In the overview of absence entitlements screen, select the relevant absence type.
- Click Open.
- In the Person tab, click the Add icon.
- Define the search criteria, and click Search.
- Select a person in the overview. You can click Select all to select all the
people in the overview.
- Click OK.
- Define the fields in the overview.
- Click Save, and then click Close.
Fields
Search
Click this to search for the absence types based on the
defined criteria.
Clear
Click this to clear the defined criteria.
Previous
Click this to go to the previous list of absence
entitlements.
Next
Click this to go to the next list of absence entitlements.
Rows
Type the number of rows to be displayed for each page. If
you have set the default number of rows to “10”, then 10 rows will be
displayed. Therefore, if you have more than 10 rows listed, the Previous
and Next buttons will become available.
Filter
Select the required option to filter the search that starts
with or contains a certain letter or word.
Absence type
Type a full or partial absence type code to display the absence
type.
Activity
Type a full or partial item code related to the absence type
to display the absence type.
Buttons
Maintain
Click this to view or edit the selected absence type. For
more information, see Creating
and maintaining absence types.
Copy
Click this to copy the details of the selected absence type
to a new absence type.
Delete
Click this to delete the selected absence type.
Open
Click this to open an absence entitlement, and adjust the
hours of the absence entitlement, or assign the absence entitlement to the
relevant employees.
Close
Click this to exit.
