Introduction

This page allows you to manually update the effective date of a change in a division record. For example, you have two records - record A that is to be updated at 3pm today and record B that is to be updated at 5pm the next day. By selecting the Update: Effective date option, and then clicking Submit at 1pm today, record A will be updated manually at 1pm instead of at 3pm. If you select the Insert: Current value option and click Submit at 1pm today, both records A and B will be updated at 1pm today.

This feature is available only if the Log: Effective date field is selected at Division.

Roles and rights

To update the effective date of a change in the division record, function right 87 — Allows to close period for a division is required. By default, users with the HR role have this function right.

What version are you using?

The information in this document is applicable to product update 259 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.

How do I update the effective date?

1. At Action, select the relevant option.
2. Type or select the division code at Division to specify the division that you want the record to be updated.
3. Click Submit.
