Product Update 404/405: Performace improvement of General Ledger report (Czech Republic and Slovakia)

Generating of the report in [Finance / Reports / General ledger] was time consuming, especially in case of a large database.

From this reason the following improvements have been developed:

If the option Type = Simple is selected, the following apply:

• It is not possible to use Fulfillment date for the date range
• Fiscal transactions cannot be included
• Additional information cannot be included (cost centers, cost units)
• It is not possible to display transactions
• To generate the report, the button Simple should be pressed
• The time needed to generate the report is much shorter

If the option Type = Advanced is selected, the following apply:

• It is possible to use Fulfillment date for the date range
• Fiscal transactions can be included
• Additional information can be included (cost centers, cost units)
• It is possible to display transactions
• To generate the report, the button Advanced should be pressed
• The time needed to generate the report is much longer

Database information: 

• The simple report is generated from the totals table (GeneralLedgerBalances), see Product Update 395: Improving Performance of Retrieving Balance Totals
• The advanced report is generate from General ledger transactions table (gbkmut)
