A good preparation is important. Therefore, not only read this chapter thoroughly, but also perform all the steps to complete the migration to Exact Financials.

In this manual all steps required to migrate your Exact Financials configuration to Exact Financials are described. Before you start this procedure, you need to make sure that your current configuration meets the following minimal demand as stated in the product availability documentation Exact Financials 7.24 :

• For migrations or upgrades: your current version of Exact Financials is at least 3.5;
• You have created a user in Exact Financials for the Progress statefree AppServer (use this link how to create this user);
• Check if the webbrowser on your clients are according to the product availability documentation Exact Financials;
• Check your clients on the supported Progress OpenEdge version according to the product availability documentation Exact Financials:
• Check your clients on the supported client Operating Systems according to the product availability documentation Exact Financials;
• Check your server platform is according to the product availability documentation Exact Financials;
• You have created a backup of the database;
• You have checked the OpenEdge Lifecycle and Platform Availability Guide.

If your configuration does not meet the above, you need to contact your Exact Financials partner or Exact Support, via the Exact Customer Portal or by phone +31-15-2151500 option 1, to make a plan to migrate your configuration to Exact Financials.
