Adding configuration items for Service management

Menu paths

• Modules > Service management > Reports > Service activities > Service activities
• Modules > Workflow > Entry > Requests > Requests: New
• Modules > Workflow > Reports > Requests > Search

Introduction

The Configuration items page displays all the configuration items. The All tab displays all the available configurations. The Selected tab displays the configurations that are added to the service request. On this page, you can also add child items for the configuration items. You can also view the details of the configuration items.

Roles and rights

All users can view and add configuration items.

Note:

• For more details on function rights, go to Modules > System > Setup > Security > Function rights.
• For more details on roles, go to Modules > System > Setup > Security > Roles.

What version are you using?

The information in this document is applicable to product update 503 and higher. If you have a version lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.

How do I add a child for the configuration item?

1. On the Service order request page, click Configurations under the Configurations filters section.
2. Click the  Add child button.
3. Select a child that you want to add.

How do I view the details of the configuration item?

1. On the Service order request page, click Configurations under the Configurations filters section.
2. Click the  Details button.

How do I add a child to the child configuration item?

1. On the Service order request page, click Configurations under the Configurations filters section.

2. Click the  button on the left column.

3. Click the  Add button.
4. Select a child that you want to add.
