PU 504 | 503 | 502 (Globe+) and 424 (Globe): Improved decimal points support in the calculation of the Prorata for VAT return 2024 (Belgian legislation)

Since 1st January 2024, Belgium has been using mixed taxable entities to calculate their value-added tax (VAT) deduction using the general pro rata method. To align with the latest legislative changes and the new version of XSD that will be implemented on 26th August 2024, we have updated Exact Globe+ with the enhancements below.

Prorata screen

The percentage and special rate values are displayed with precision of up to two decimal places on the Prorata screen.

<GlobalResult> tag

In the VAT returns XML file, we have added the <GlobalResult> tag under the <SpecialAdjustedValue> section. The <GlobalResult> tag is used to display the global result values within the application and XML output. The value for <GlobalResult> will be retrieved from the Global result field in the Special ratio section.

The tag is displayed by default but it is disabled. It is enabled when at least two ratio fields contain values greater than zero, and at least two special ratio fields are defined.

Note: This functionality is not applicable for the VAT return – Return: Internal option in the VAT return screen.
